The CONFIDENT GROUP presented “A Tribute to Bangalore” concert on the 2nd March evening at the RBANMs school ground in Ulsoor, Bangalore. For the first time in 12 years, two maestros, USTAD AMJAD ALI KHAN, the MASTER OF SAROD and USTAD ZAKIR HUSSAIN, the Wizard of TABLA, came on stage together to present a scintillating evening of classical music to a spellbound audience. The maestros were honoured on stage by Mr.Roy C. J, Chairman and Managing Director of the Confident Group before they started off the evening with a light rendering to set the tempo. The audience was treated to a wide variety of classical numbers which the two legendary musicians put together with aplomb, considering that the entire performance was extempore! The extremely fast beats on the tabla by Ustad Zakir Hussain , matching the flying fingers of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan on the Sarod was the highlight of the evening.
