The dawn of February 12th 2010 marked the Anniversary of Confident group which was celebrated with great gusto as ‘Confiday’. All vehicles of Confident group led to Confident Cascade a mega resort which is blessed with rich greenery, splendid service and state of the art amenities, thus making it the most ideal location for this celebration. The venue was buzzing with members of the Confident family that included our Chairman and Managing Director, Board of Directors, entire Bangalore project staff, a representative team from Kerala, our special invitees comprising of family members and resource personnel. Breakfast was served to all and simultaneously the final touches were given to the preparations scheduled for this special day.

The morning session began with the community gathering in the Aero- convention hall. The lighting of the lamp was followed by an invocation song. Our President, Mr. Sunil Krishnan gave the welcome speech and took the audience on a journey down the memory lane providing an insight into the history of Confident group over the previous years using a power point presentation. It highlighted the key role of our Chairman and Managing Director- Dr. Roy C.J’s role in conceptualizing and initiating key strategies and the role of our President – Mr. Sunil Krishnan, Joint Managing Director – Mr. T. A Joseph, Deputy Managing Director -Projects, Mr. Gaffar, Deputy Managing Director – Hospitality, Ms. Liny Roy and Director – Finance, Mr. Sudhindranath in implementing the vision envisaged by him along with their teams. All our Directors and CMD addressed the gathering in their own unique manner. The session then witnessed a transition of mood to conveying the Confident family wishes to our Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Roy, our President, Mr. Sunil and all the staff members who celebrate their Birthday in February. It was also a proud moment to see many of our colleagues winning the Star performer awards for their exemplary work and also some of them receiving the ISO – Internal Auditors certificate. This session culminated with the cultural programme exhibiting the amazing talents of some of our staff with a special mention of a western music song by Pradeep Jacob and a scintillating fusion dance performance by Ms. Anisha, Ms. Gurmeet, Ms. Shazia and Ms. Bhavani.

The community was then treated to a sumptuous Lunch. The scene at the resort painted a picture of relaxation, enjoyment and spirit of comradeship and sportsmanship as the guests and staff was seen in the swimming pool, indoor games area, Dr. Rajkumar’s Cricket stadium….. The treasure hunt was effective in sending all the enthusiastic participants racing to every nook and corner of Cascade in search of the clues and finally the treasure itself.

The surprise element in the programme for the day was the arrival of the ‘Pre-project band’ and it successfully managed to draw the entire community together, set ablaze the festive mood and even witnessed many stand in awe of watching their own Directors mingling with the community and performing to the rhythm of the band. It was truly the snap-shot of the day. With the setting of the Sun, the musical fountain lit the place and transcended us into another world as it was a special treat for all who love art, music and nature. Gradually we saw the crowd drifting towards the discotheque area to dance.

A truly memorable day that will remain etched in our memory.
