The dawn of August 15th, 2011 witnessed yet another special celebration for the ‘Confident Group and it’s family’ in the form of Independence Day celebration and the Half yearly Confident Picnic.
Which other Resort can you think of? Other than the Magnificent and Brand new “Confident Amoon”, the latest Confident’s Premium SPA + Resort. Confident Amoon wore a festive look being the venue for this special occasion. The festivities began with the flag hoisting by our very own Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Roy C.J. The march past and bursting of crackers added to the festive mood.
It was followed by a whole staff meeting at the Multi- purpose hall with over 400 Employees of Bangalore Division’s Projects and Construction department attending this meeting. The Simple and Most meaningful Quote of the CMD made a whole lot of difference to the over 6 years of Inception and Growth of Confident Group. CMD signified the entire Confident Group in a simple quote “Ordinary people doing Extra-ordinary things, thereby creating Extra-ordinary Human beings in the form of Confident Group’s employees”. Under his guidance and leadership the success story of ‘Confident Group’ was carved out by Ordinary employees doing Extra-Ordinary things.
All our special speakers for the day which included the Deputy Managing Director Mr Gaffar P Kandy and he President Mr. Sunil Krishnan also echoed this amazing thought in their respective brief speeches. Mr Babu, Mr Sundaram and Mr Bill Kessner also spoke on the occasion. This was truly reinforced by the celebration and sharing of the significant contribution made by specific staff members who received the Star performer awards. The cultural events displayed various talents and it had a competitive spirit with the participants representing the 5 teams for the day- ‘Antlia 3, Canopus, Atik, Leo and Aquila’. Some of the performances truly captured the interest of the audience, who applauded them with great awe and cheering! It was time then for us to relish the sumptuous and delicious food prepared and served by the Amoon’s Expert Chef team.
The post lunch session witnessed the staff finding their own niche at Amoon’s famed “Cave Discotheque”, which is made like a Cave but boosts of the Top end imported music and DJ systems. For further relaxation and entertainment and to cater to their wide interest , it was a sight that spoke more than words loud and clear that all the staff were having a great time! This was apparent in the form of various groups being engrossed in activities like trying a hand at the International 9 Hole Mini Golf Course, taking a splash in the swimming pool, shaking their legs at the discotheque, going for long walks or relaxing in the backdrop of all the greenery and breadth taking architecture of Amoon.
High Tea gathered back all the staff at the multi -purpose hall for the last session of the day. It was time again to celebrate the winners of the day, with Aquila being announced as the winning team followed by Leo as 1st runner up, Antlia pitched in as 2nd runner up, Canopus as 3rd and Atik as 4th runner up. Though every Participant performed extremely well, the Cultural performer of the Day was Ms. Vidya Sharma but the ever Spontaneous Ravi was the all time favorite of all the employees, he not only cracked jokes the way different Film Stars would have spoken his evergreen Jokes but also imitated extremely well his Senior and Colleagues in office. Ravi is a cheer to watch any time.
Acknowledging all those who made this day memorable and rewarding them with trophies reinforced the punch line of the day – “Ordinary people doing extra- ordinary things” at Confident. This significant day culminated with each and every member of the Confident family receiving a special gift to take home along with their pleasant memories of the day!.
