The scenic hill station was chosen by the Britishers to plant tea followed by Christian Missionaries who later on built the “Kurishumala”, another tourist attraction in the region. The place is listed by National Geographic Traveller as one of the “50 most attractive places to visit in India”. Located at a height of 1200 meters above the sea level, Vagamon has lush green meadows which have been featured in the scenes of many movie songs.
